Past Events 2009 2008	- Wine Tasting Fundraiser 2009- The Alliance Public Schools Foundation held it's 9th annual "Life is a Cabernet" wine tasting fundraiser on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Alliance Country Club with 160 people in attendance. A "caberet" them was carried out in the tickets, programs, and table decorations. Soaring Wings Vineyard, located in Springfield, NE, was the featured winery, and Dietrich Distributing of Scottsbluff, NE provided a variety of microbrew beers for guests to enjoy. A silent auction and a grand auction were held with many items from local businesses for the patrons to bid on. The meal consisted of five food stations with different foods to sample with the wines. Thanks to the generosity of patrons and corporate sponsors, the Foundation awarded $22,000 in scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year to Alliance High School graduates.
